Welcome to the big top of camp. This hand-silkscreened bandana is a technicolor shrine to vintage circus iconography, drag-adjacent theatrics, and unapologetic queer play — bold, graphic, a little deranged, and absolutely intentional.
Dozens of illustrated clowns, jesters, bow-tied gremlins, and carnival eccentrics whirl across the surface in dense, high-contrast linework, forming a pattern that reads as equal parts folk print, underground poster, and nightclub artifact. It functions as both accessory and mini art print: knot it at the neck, fly it from a belt, frame it on the wall, or let it operate as visual flagging for those who speak the dialect of camp.
Each piece is pulled by hand in New York City, giving the ink a tactile, screen-printed texture and subtle variations that mark it as true printmaking rather than digital reproduction. No two are identical, and that human irregularity is part of the charm.
Disclaimer: Based on years of printing, I intentionally use slightly irregularly sized bandanas for this edition because they’re made from an ultralight cotton weave. After the first wash, the fabric becomes exceptionally soft, breathable, and broken-in, making it far more comfortable for everyday wear than heavier, stiffer bandana stock.
Each piece features:
• Hand silkscreen printing in New York City
• Deep black permanent acrylic ink on colored cotton
• Soft 100% cotton
• Central image size: approximately 17" × 17"
• Full bandana size: approximately 21" × 21"
• Cold hand wash recommended
A carnival of faces, symbols, and theatrical nonsense — printed for those who know that camp is an art form, a language, and a lifestyle.
