Dark glamour meets queer-coded camp in this hand-silkscreened bandana, centered on the iconic death’s-head moth — a butterfly whose markings echo the shape of a human skull. A symbol made unforgettable by the queer cult classic The Silence of the Lambs, it carries decades of gothic, cinematic, and subcultural resonance.

Rendered in bold gold ink against a classic paisley field, the image blends vintage entomology, psychological horror, and theatrical elegance into a single, high-contrast statement. It’s spooky, dramatic, and knowingly over-the-top — the kind of graphic that lives comfortably between fashion, folklore, and film myth.

Whether knotted at the neck, worn for flagging, styled as a headscarf, or hung as wall art, the bandana carries an air of ritual and rebellion, perfectly at home in nightlife, performance, and everyday dress that leans toward the dark and romantic.

Each piece is hand silk-screened in New York City, giving the ink a rich, tactile presence and subtle micro-variations that mark it as true printmaking rather than digital reproduction.

Disclaimer: Based on years of printing, I intentionally use slightly irregularly sized bandanas for this edition because they’re made from an ultralight cotton weave. After the first wash, the fabric becomes exceptionally soft, breathable, and broken-in, making it far more comfortable for everyday wear than heavier, stiffer bandana stock.

Each piece features:
• Hand silkscreen printing in New York City
• Metallic gold permanent acrylic ink on soft 100% cotton
• Central image size: approximately 17" × 17"
• Full bandana size: approximately 21" × 21"
• Cold hand wash recommended

A classic symbol of transformation and menace, reimagined through gothic camp and screen-printed luxury — a nod to horror history without borrowing a single frame.
