Deep within the labyrinth of Greek mythology lurks the Minotaur, a creature of formidable strength, insatiable appetite, and notoriously complicated family history. Half man, half bull, and entirely unapologetic, this particular beast appears to have outgrown more than just his mythological confines. Even his modest loincloth seems to be fighting a losing battle.

Created as an original commission for The Haunted Disco by tattoo artist Billy Bluw Tattoo, this striking illustration reimagines the legendary creature through the visual language of traditional tattooing, vintage beefcake illustration, and homoerotic fantasy. Bold black linework, exaggerated musculature, and meticulous anatomical detailing give this ancient monster a decidedly contemporary attitude.

Surrounding the figure is an original labyrinth border designed by The Haunted Disco, adapted from 16th-century labyrinth imagery. Its repeating geometric pathways create a hypnotic architectural frame, marrying Renaissance visual traditions with the muscular theatricality of the central figure.

The result is a collision of classical mythology, historical ornamentation, and unabashed queer artistry. A labyrinth worth getting lost in.
